Standing room only at Ryanair ?

Ryanair has announced that most passengers would be happy to stand up on short flights, as long as they could fly for free.  Nearly half of the passengers polled said they would be willing to stand for a half price fare .............

Ryanair Holdings, no strangers to controversial ideas, has announced that 80,000 people, out of a poll of 120,000 said they would be willing to stand up during flights, if they could fly for free.  Also, 42% of the total polled said they would be willing to stand for half price travel.
Stand up if you love Ryanair

According to the Ryanair poll, 60% of passengers thought there should be a choice of standing on short flights, as there is on trains, buses and on the underground. Speaking for Ryanair, Stephen McNamara, said the airline is looking to replace traditional seats with vertical ones, which on a typical flight would allow between 50 and 60 additional passengers. Hmm that sounds good for your profits Ryanair!Standing to improve Ryanair safety?

In another strange statement, Mcnamara said the airline envisages having passengers supported and restrained, and not just holding on to a rail, so they could handle turbulence or an emergency landing safely. He also commented that it could even improve the safety of the passengers.  He says: “We feel any escape would be quickened, there wouldn´t be clambering over large seats.” Hmm that could save you some cash Ryanair!´Have you been?´ Ryanair

The idea to charge for using the toilet on board Ryanair flights has proved about as popular with the flying public as an MP´s expenses sheet, and according to Mcnamara, the idea is still under ´consideration.´ You can just imagine the hordes of kids being shoved into the nearest airport loo before boarding with shouts of ´have you been?´ ringing in their ears from anxious mothers, who are mentally totting up the toilet bill on board.  Hmm charging for toilet use could save you some money,Ryanair!

Low cost airline? Budget airline? No-frills airline? No toilet airline? No seats airline? What next? A no engine airline??
